Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy

At Genius Private Ltd., we want you and your young rebels to be absolutely thrilled with your purchases from www.geniusfits.com. We understand that sometimes things don’t quite fit or meet expectations. This policy outlines how you can return, exchange, or seek a refund for your Genius products.

Please read this policy carefully. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. This policy is an integral part of our overall Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

To be eligible for a return or exchange, please ensure:

  • Timeframe: You must initiate the return or exchange request within 7 days from the date of receiving your delivered item.
  • Condition: The product must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and have all original tags attached.
  • Non-Returnable/Non-Exchangeable Items:
    • Products purchased as part of a combo offer.
    • Items bought during a sale period (e.g., clearance, promotional sales).
    • Gift cards are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

Proof of Purchase: Your Order ID will serve as your proof of purchase for all return and exchange requests.

2. Accepted Reasons for Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns and exchanges for the following reasons:

  • Wrong Size: If the size you received does not fit as expected.
  • Wrong Item Received: If you received an item different from what you ordered.
  • Defective or Damaged Product: If the product has a manufacturing defect or was received in a damaged condition.
    • Verification for Damage/Defect: For claims of defective or damaged products, you must provide a clear video and relevant photos of the damage/defect within 7 days of receiving the delivered item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept damage claims after this 7-day period.
  • Other Reasons: Any other reason for return or exchange will be subject to acceptance by Genius Private Ltd. based on a case-by-case review.
3. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To initiate a return or exchange request, please contact us through one of the following methods:

When contacting us, please provide the following information:

  • Your Order ID.
  • The specific product name/details you wish to return or exchange.
  • The clear reason for your return or exchange.
  • Your desired action: Refund (in the form of a redeemable card/coupon code) OR Exchange (for an item of the same price range).
  • For damaged or defective items, please attach the required clear video and relevant photos.
4. Return & Exchange Process

4.1. Shipping Costs: 

* Free Returns: If you received a wrong or defective item, or for standard returns where you initiated the request, we offer free returns. 

* COD Order Returns: For returns originating from Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, a charge of Rs. 100 will apply. 

* Exchange Item Shipping: For any exchange item sent to you, an additional shipping charge of Rs. 100 will be levied per exchange. 

4.2. Reverse Pickup: 

* For eligible returns, Genius, through its logistics partners, will arrange a reverse pickup from your designated address. 

* Our logistics partners will attempt reverse pickup twice. In case of no response or failure to pick up after two attempts, the customer will be responsible for returning the package via a local courier service if they still wish to proceed with the return. 

4.3. Processing Time: 

* Request Processing: Once your return/exchange request is initiated and approved, it will take approximately 7-10 business days for us to arrange the reverse pickup or provide you with shipping instructions. 

* Item Inspection: Once we receive the returned item, it will take approximately 7-10 business days to inspect it and confirm its eligibility according to this policy.

5. Refunds

Refunds, where applicable, will be issued as follows:

  • Refund Method: All refunds will be issued in the form of a redeemable card or coupon code. This code will be sent to your registered email ID and can be used for your next purchase on www.geniusfits.com.
  • Validity: The redeemable card/coupon code will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
  • Original Shipping Charges: Original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable for returns.
  • Deductions: In cases where applicable (e.g., if the return shipping cost is borne by the customer or for COD order returns as mentioned in Section 4.1), relevant deductions will be made from the refund amount.
6. Exchanges

6.1. Exchange Options: 

* You may exchange an item for a different size or color of the same item, subject to availability. 

* An exchange for a completely different item is only possible if the original item you wished to exchange for (e.g., a different size/color of the same product) is out of stock. 

6.2. Price Difference for Exchanges: 

* If the new item selected for exchange is of lesser value, the difference will be provided to you as a redeemable coupon code, valid for 1 year on our Website. 

* If the new item selected for exchange is of greater value, the customer is liable to pay the difference amount to Genius Private Ltd. Our customer service team will guide you on how to process such payments. 

6.3. Availability: 

If the requested item for exchange is out of stock, we will assist you in selecting an alternative item of similar value from our current catalogue. 

6.4. Shipping for Exchange Item: 

A shipping charge of Rs. 100 will be applied for sending out the new exchange item to the customer.

7. Order Cancellations

7.1. Cancellation Window: 

* Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders: Can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order. 

* Prepaid Orders: Unfortunately, prepaid orders cannot be cancelled once placed. 

7.2. Non-Cancellable Orders: 

Orders that have already been dispatched or shipped cannot be cancelled. 

7.3. Refunds for Cancellations: 

For eligible cancelled orders (COD orders cancelled within 24 hours), refunds will be issued in the form of a redeemable coupon code, valid for 1 year from the date of issue, for use on your next purchase.

8. Important Notes
  • All returned items are subject to a thorough inspection by our quality control team. The final decision on whether a return or exchange is accepted rests solely with Genius Private Ltd.
  • If a returned item does not meet our eligibility criteria (e.g., worn, damaged by customer, missing tags), it may be sent back to the customer, and no refund or exchange will be processed.
